Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 9, 2025 |
On the morning of May 9, the domestic coffee market continued to decline slightly. According to analysts, this decline is believed to come from technical profit-taking after many consecutive sessions of increase.
In addition, the reason for the decrease in coffee prices is that the coffee production of Brazil and Vietnam is forecast to be more positive than initially estimated. In addition, the depreciation of the Brazilian Real against the USD is pushing down the price of this agricultural product.
Traders predict that if there are no sudden weather factors, the coffee market may adjust further in the next few sessions before establishing a new price level.
Coffee inventories are showing mixed results. ICE-monitored Arabica stocks rose to a nearly three-month high of 844,473 bags on May 7, while Robusta stocks, also monitored by ICE, fell to a four-month low of 4,225 shipments last week.
The Brazilian Crop Supply Agency (Conab) has raised its forecast for Brazil's 2025 coffee production to 55.7 million bags, up from the 51.81 million bags estimated in January 2025. Conab said the adjustment was mainly due to favorable weather conditions during the crop development period, which led to strong flowering in both Robusta and Arabica growing areas.
Updated forecasts from Conab show that Arabica coffee production in 2025 has been revised up 6.63% from the previous forecast at the beginning of the year, to a total of 37 million bags, although it is still down 5.4% from the previous crop year.
