After the family members underwent surgery, Mr. Huy and his wife and second son have now been discharged from the hospital to continue treatment at home, while Mr. Huy's youngest child is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
On June 27th, the Hai Duong online newspaper (now Hai Phong Plus online newspaper) published an article titled "Unexpected accident plunges a family in Thanh Ha into dire straits," appealing for community support to help Huy's family overcome their difficulties.
At 9:15 PM on June 18th, Mr. Huy was driving his car on Provincial Road 390. He was carrying his wife and three children, born in 2012, 2015, and 2019 respectively. While passing through Ha Dong commune, the car collided with a parked tractor-trailer (license plate 15C-163.23) traveling in the same direction ahead.
The collision injured Huy's entire family, who were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but his eldest daughter did not survive.
