The parents of a group of seven students who threw rocks and broke the glass of the SE1 train on March 16 have worked with the authorities and voluntarily asked for compensation for the damage.


On March 19, Mr. Bui Cong Hoa, Deputy Director of Nghia Binh Railway Exploitation Branch, said that he had worked with the parents of the group of students who threw rocks at train SE1. Representatives of the families recognized the wrongdoings of their children and voluntarily asked for compensation for damages.

Parents' representatives working with the railway industry asked to voluntarily compensate for damages caused by their children.

Accordingly, the parents of a group of 7 students who threw rocks and broke the windows of two SE1 train cars on the afternoon of March 16 voluntarily compensated 2.7 million VND according to the value of the damaged property.

Mr. Hoa said that through calculations, the unit determined the value of the two broken windshields that needed to be replaced was more than 2.7 million VND. Through working with the children, the parents became aware of their children's violations and voluntarily compensated the Railway Department to replace the new windshields.

At the same time, parents hope that the authorities will sympathize with their children's behavior of throwing rocks at the train and promise toeducate their children so that similar violations will not be repeated.

It is known that this is the first time in Quang Ngai that authorities have received compensation for property damage caused by throwing rocks at trains.

As reported, on the afternoon of March 16, train SE1 traveling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City when passing Km 932+900 in Nghia Trung commune, Tu Nghia district was suddenly hit by a group of students playing nearby throwing rocks, breaking the windshield of car 4, car 5 and windshield of car 9, car 9.

On March 17, the Traffic Police Department, Vietnam Railway Authority, Nghia Trung Commune Police and Nghia Binh Railway Exploitation Branch had a working session with a group of 7 students and their parents to clarify the violations.
