Export markets
In the world market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to last weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the selling prices of major rice varieties are as follows:
- 5% broken fragrant rice: 415 - 430 USD/ton
- Jasmine rice: 478 - 482 USD/ton
- 100% broken rice: 314 - 317 USD/ton
Regarding the export situation, data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade show that in the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 7.2 million tons of rice, earning 3.7 billion USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, output decreased by 6.5% and value decreased by 23.8%. The average export price of rice in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 511 USD/ton, down 18.5%.
The Philippines continues to be Vietnam's largest rice import market, accounting for 41.4% of the market share, followed by Ghana (12.3%) and Ivory Coast (11.3%). Notably, exports to Ghana increased by 47.3% and Ivory Coast by 94.5%, while exports to the Philippines decreased by 27.1%. Among the 15 largest markets, Bangladesh recorded the strongest growth (155 times), while Malaysia experienced the deepest decline (53.3%).
