On the morning of March 18th, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings, as listed by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI businesses, reached a record high of 95.4 million VND/ounce for buying and 96.9 million VND/ounce for selling - an increase of 800,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday.
For 24K gold bars, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed the price of Thang Long Dragon gold at 95.9 million VND/ounce for buying and 97.5 million VND/ounce for selling - 700,000 VND higher than SJC gold bars. This is also a record high for gold bar prices to date. The difference between the buying and selling price is only 1.6 million VND/ounce.
The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars is quite surprising, as it had previously reached 3-3.5 million VND/ounce.
Bao Tin Minh Chau's 24K gold rings and jewelry are also currently the most expensive on the market, selling for 97.5 million VND per tael.
Not only gold bars, but the prices of gold rings and 99.99% pure gold jewelry also remained at historical highs. SJC Company bought plain 99.99% pure gold rings at 95.3 million VND/ounce and sold them at 96.8 million VND/ounce – an increase of 800,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday.
PNJ company sold gold rings for up to 97.3 million VND; Bao Tin Minh Chau sold them for up to 97.5 million VND/ounce - much higher than the price of SJC gold bars.
Both the price of gold bars and gold rings is currently being maintained by businesses at its highest level in history.
Domestic and international gold prices both reach record highs.
Since the beginning of March, the price of gold in Vietnam has increased by nearly 6 million VND per tael. Given the current situation, many are wondering if the price of gold will reach 100 million VND per tael?
Domestic gold prices have reached record highs as global prices have returned to the $3,000/ounce mark, and are even surpassing it.
At 9:00 AM Vietnam time, the world gold price was at $3,012 per ounce, an increase of approximately $12 per ounce compared to the previous session. This is also the highest price ever for this precious metal. Thus, after cooling down at the end of last week, the price of gold has continued to climb back to its peak.
Gold prices surged today due to increased demand for safe-haven assets amid the impact of aggressive trade policies by US President Donald Trump. Analysts believe that trade tensions, geopolitical conflicts, and expectations of monetary policy changes have driven investors to seek stability, with gold being the preferred safe haven.
Currently, the world gold price, converted according to the listed exchange rate, is approximately 93.5 million VND per tael.
