Gasoline prices today August 30: Mixed fluctuations

Today's world oil prices

World oil prices rose slightly in today's trading session (August 30th, Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at $75.97 per barrel, up $0.06 per barrel, or 0.08%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $75.91 per barrel and opened today's session at $75.84 per barrel.

Brent crude oil was trading at $78.93 per barrel, up $0.11 per barrel, or 0.14%. Brent crude closed the previous trading session at $78.82 per barrel and opened today's session at $78.91 per barrel.

Thus, at the close of yesterday's trading session, gasoline and diesel prices recorded a sharp increase and maintained that upward trend in today's session.

According to analysts, supply disruptions in Libya and planned production cuts in Iraq are raising concerns about global supply in the near future. While oil exports from Libya remain intact, the closure of export ports will further tighten supply in the Atlantic basin.

Domestic gasoline prices today

Meanwhile, domestic gasoline and diesel prices have uniformly decreased since the price adjustment on the afternoon of August 29.

On August 30th, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel fuel, according to Petrolimex 's published price list in Zone 1 and Zone 2 (applied to 46 provinces and cities), are as follows:

The aforementioned domestic retail fuel prices were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the price adjustment session on the afternoon of August 29th. Accordingly, diesel fuel saw the largest decrease, at 299 VND/liter, followed by RON 95-III gasoline at 208 VND/liter. Mazut decreased by 194 VND/kg, and E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 92 VND/liter. Kerosene saw the smallest decrease, at 84 VND/liter.

Today's fuel discounts

The discounted prices of petroleum products today, August 30th, at some domestic gas stations are as follows:

Pvoil applies the following discounts on August 30th: Diesel: 1,400 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,250 VND/liter. These discounts apply at Pvoil Dinh Vu, Petec An Hai, and Cai Lan depots.

Tu Luc fuel company's discounts on August 30th are as follows: Diesel: 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.

MIPEC fuel discounts on August 30th: RON 95 - III: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter; diesel: 1,350 VND/liter at Mipec depots.

Forecast of domestic gasoline and diesel prices for the next period.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline and diesel prices will fluctuate according to the global oil situation. Based on current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline and diesel prices may be adjusted in opposite directions.

Since the beginning of the year, starting from the price adjustment on January 4th, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 17 times. Diesel prices have increased 16 times and decreased 18 times.
