In the 2026-2030 period, Dak Lak strives to have 77% of communes meeting new rural standards.

Dak Lak province aims to have 68/88 communes meeting new rural standards by 2030, accounting for 77% of the total number of communes.

Of these, 16/68 communes meet advanced NTM standards (19%) and 8/68 communes meet modern NTM standards (10.3%). The province also aims to develop 1,110 OCOP products recognized as 3 stars or higher.

To complete the above objectives, the total state budget capital for implementing the New Rural Development Program for the 2026 - 2030 period is expected to be 3,927 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is 1,963.5 billion VND and the provincial budget is 1,963.5 billion VND.

This capital will be allocated to directly support communes that register to meet standards at each level (New Rural Area; Advanced New Rural Area; Modern New Rural Area), communes that strive to meet and complete criteria, as well as spending on direction and operation, production development, vocational training and support for OCOP product development.

For the program to be implemented effectively, Dak Lak proposed and recommended that the Central Government, when allocating capital, should take into account specific local factors such as: natural area of ​​rural areas, total kilometers of roads, rate of poor households and ethnic minority households, etc. to ensure fairness between regions and avoid widening the gap.

Ministries and branches need to advise the Government to allocate early and sufficient central budget capital so that localities can be proactive in deployment and implementation. In particular, regarding the set of criteria for new rural communes in the period of 2026 - 2030, the province recommends that ministries and branches need to issue detailed regulations and instructions for each indicator and criterion before issuing the set of national criteria.

At the same time, the study stipulates that each criterion is only guided by one ministry or sector to avoid overlap, making it easier for localities to synthesize, evaluate, and draw lessons from the 2021-2025 period.
