Introduction to Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT)

VNPT is a long-standing enterprise with a rich tradition, deeply rooted in history, born during the revolution and growing alongside the nation, with a 78-year tradition of the Vietnamese postal and telecommunications industry. Its predecessor was the Specialized Transportation Department – ​​the precursor organization of the postal and telecommunications industry, then the Vietnam Post Office, the General Department of Post and Telecommunications, the General Department of Post and Telecommunications and Broadcasting, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Corporation, and on January 9, 2006, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). Currently, VNPT is a national telecommunications and IT group with 114 member units and nearly 50,000 employees, operating and providing services in 63 provinces/cities in Vietnam and many countries around the world. In the digital age, with the trend of telecommunications and IT convergence according to the VNPT4.0 strategic direction, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group is shifting from a traditional communication service provider to a "digital communication service provider" (DSP). VNPT's vision is to become the leading provider of digital infrastructure and digital services in Vietnam by 2025 and a Digital Hub in the Asian region by 2030, with the mission of providing customers and partners with high-quality, innovative, and groundbreaking telecommunications, IT, communication, and digital services; becoming a Digital Hub of Asia, honoring and recognizing the true value of its employees. To realize its vision and mission, while ensuring service quality to meet the needs of nearly 50 million customers, and especially the digital transformation needs of the Government, ministries, localities, and customers, VNPT Group has been focusing on developing three main service groups: Telecommunications services; Digital services for government/ministry/department customers, businesses, households, and individual customers.
