Help students get acquainted with programming and controlling robots in the digital age

Through the application of digital technology, it has contributed to creating a modern learning environment, meeting the 4.0 education trend and equipping students with the best knowledge and skills in the digital age.

Students of Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary and High School in the program "Spring Book Fair 2025 and Career Guidance in the AI ​​era".

In order to help students get acquainted with Robots, in early March 2025, Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary & High School (Thanh Hoa City) and Trieu Son High School (Trieu Son) coordinated with a group of lecturers from the Faculty of Robot Engineering, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi to share about AI, about Robot Engineering, and at the same time organize a STEM Robotics competition; organize the program "Career Guidance in the AI ​​era" with the participation of more than 1,000 students.

Teacher Le Thi Bich, Principal of Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary and High School, said: "Facing the inevitable trend in the digital age, we have implemented a program to familiarize ourselves with Robots and apply artificial intelligence to teaching activities at school quite early. In order for teachers to have enough knowledge and teaching skills, in addition to inviting experts to the school to share, the school has also sent teachers to study with experts from Japan, and at the same time coordinated with Japanese partners to purchase machinery, equipment, textbooks... Prepare the necessary conditions to bring Robotics into teaching in the school's clubs in the near future."

Nguyen Thanh Long, an 8th grade student at Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary and High School, said: "I feel very excited to have early access to AI and Robot technology... it helps me understand more about technology, increases my thinking and creativity, and at the same time, helps me orient myself early on the career I love and want to do in the future."

With the spirit of "learning while playing, playing while learning" right from primary school, studentsof FPT Thanh Hoa Primary, Secondary and High School have been familiarized with assembling robots and programming on computers. Under the guidance of teachers, students have mastered the assembly, control of robots, programming... Thanks to participating in these lessons, many students have gained more passion and interest in learning, helping them to access early knowledge of science and mathematics in a new and easy-to-understand way, creating interest in learning for students.

Teacher Khuong The Bo, Technology 4.0 teacher, FPT Thanh Hoa Primary, Secondary and High School said: "Right from primary school, students at FPT will be familiar with Robots and programming languages ​​so that when they go to higher levels, they will have good programming thinking."

Currently, AI technology has been widely applied in teaching, in which the most applied subjects are English, Mathematics, Technology and Robotics... In addition, some learning methods based on digital technology platforms are also effectively applied by teachers, such as the model: "Experiential classroom", students can experience early programming, apply IoT, AI in lessons, practice and test on software, 3Dize lesson content... Teachers will also have shares around lesson topics, technology-related fields to help students understand the lessons and be more interested. Besides, students will also regularly practice on computers, do exercises using technology devices, participate in IT competitions... In addition, the use of visual images and simulation videos also helps teachers' lectures to be more vivid, students to be more interested and motivated to learn better. With this approach, digital education is helping students access rich and diverse learning resources through electronic devices.

Teacher Vu Thi Anh Nguyet, teacher of FPT Thanh Hoa Primary, Secondary and High School, said: “Teachers are trying their best to digitalize teaching activities. For example, teachers will create video lectures using AI, games...; in test periods, the school has purchased AI technology grading software, teachers do not have to grade manually like before, but after students finish their tests, teachers grade directly on the software, very convenient, fast, accurately assessing the school's training quality”.

In today's era, artificial intelligence technology AI, Robots... play an important role in production and life. Schools introducing subjects about Robots and AI technology early on helps students become interested, curious to learn and explore, thereby forming career orientation in the digital age and international integration.
