Today, the golf competition officially kicks off at the Siam Country Club Rolling Hills (Chonburi, Thailand). The Vietnamese team comprises seven players: Nguyen Trong Hoang, Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Le Chuc An, Le Nguyen Minh Anh, and Nguyen Viet Gia Han. This is a carefully selected squad, chosen through national tournaments and professional evaluations by the coaching staff, with the goal of extending the success of the previous SEA Games.
Nguyen Anh Minh, Vietnam's number one amateur golfer, continues to be the biggest hope. After two months of studying and training in a top-level environment in the US, Anh Minh has returned in good form, ready to aim for the highest medal. At the most recent SEA Games, the young talent impressed with a bronze medal in the individual event and a silver medal in the team event, giving him the confidence to set higher goals this year.

In the women's competition, Le Chuc An is the most experienced player on the team, participating in the SEA Games for the third time. She is joined by two young talents, Le Nguyen Minh Anh and Nguyen Viet Gia Han, who are making their debut for the national team at this regional competition. The combination of experience and youth promises to bring a fresh perspective to Vietnamese golf.
"In individual competitions, each person is responsible for their own actions, but when competing as a team and wearing the national flag on our chests, that's the greatest source of pride. We will do our best," Chúc An shared.

The Rolling Hills course is considered highly challenging, with fast greens, steep fairways, and strategically placed bunkers. The organizers set the course length at 7,162 yards for men and 6,454 yards for women – the standard for international tournaments. Over the past few days, the team has been continuously familiarizing themselves with the course, adjusting their techniques and tactics under the close supervision of the coaching staff.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese golf team competed in all four events: men's individual, women's individual, men's team, and women's team. Individual results were calculated based on the total gross score after four rounds; team results were based on the best scores each day of competition by the three male and two female athletes.
