Ha Anh Tuan denied making music solely to cater to wealthy audiences. He also expressed regret at not being able to invite students to listen to his music.
Ha Anh Tuan is about to hold a concert in Ho Chi Minh City. During a media meeting on January 6th, the artist responded to the opinion that his concert only caters to affluent audiences.
"I've been wrongly accused. If you say Ha Anh Tuan only makes music for rich people, that's not true. I only sing what truly reflects who I am. Audiences who find it appealing will listen. And no singer would rudely say, 'I only sing for people with money.' That's ungrateful; nobody would do that," Ha Anh Tuan stated.
The singer acknowledges that he "doesn't sing very well, but he sings with culture." "That's my strategy," he expressed.
After organizing several concerts, Ha Anh Tuan said that his biggest regret and feeling guilty is not being able to invite students to listen to his music. However, the singer also believes that the younger generation may not necessarily enjoy listening to him sing. Therefore, this intention may take a long time to become a reality.
Besides the legendary Korean pianist Yiruma, the 80s-born singer also invited two Vietnamese artists, Lam Truong and Quang Hung MasterD, to contribute their voices. Ha Anh Tuan expressed his admiration for "big brother" Lam Truong, sharing: "His music always exudes a youthful spirit, and he is the symbol of youth for Ha Anh Tuan."
Ha Anh Tuan said he had never met Quang Hung MasterD, and admitted that the younger artist's music is not easy to sing. With the upcoming collaboration, he believes he faces a great challenge, but hopes that they can both touch upon every emotion, from memories to the present, from youth to love, through new songs and arrangements.
This concert follows the success of the performance at the Sydney Opera House in September 2024. The six ticket categories not only symbolize the journey of self-discovery but also reflect the connection between music and the artist's spiritual values.
Born in 1984, Ha Anh Tuan is a singer who has received 13 nominations and won the Dedication Award twice. He rose to fame after reaching the top 3 of the second season of the Sao Mai Rendezvous singing competition in 2006. The male singer possesses a lyrical tenor voice and is loved for his poignant love songs such as... Rain of Love, April is a Lie, Which Month Do You Miss Me?...
