Hanoi adjusts 10th grade admission schedule 1 week earlier

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just decided to adjust the time for receiving appeal applications and confirming admission for 10th grade students one week earlier than previously planned. Accordingly, from July 1 to 7,educational institutions will receive appeal applications from students and send the list of students to the Department of Education and Training.

From July 1 to 4, the Department of Education and Training will announce admission scores at public high schools, hand over admission data to serve online admission confirmation and hand over admission score results to schools.

No later than July 5, the Departments of Education and Training will receive the exam result reports and hand them over to educational institutions to distribute to students.

From July 5 to 7, educational institutions will return application documents and "Admission results notice for grade 10 high school for the 2023-2024 school year" to students.

Before 11:00 a.m. on July 5, public schools and specialized schools will announce the list of entrance exam results for grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.

From 1:30 p.m. on July 5 to 7, candidates confirm their admission. Students can confirm their admission in person or online.

In case students have a request for review, no later than July 25, the Department of Education and Training will receive the review results at the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, then return the "Admission Result Notification Form after review" to the student.

Also on the morning of July 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 at specialized high schools:

This year, Hanoi has more than 129,000 candidates considered for recognition of secondary school graduation, of which more than 115,000 students will take the 10th grade entrance exam across the city. According to the assigned quota, schools in the area will enroll 69,805 candidates into the public system (in 2022, more than 69,200 students will be recruited).

In the specialized system (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, Chu Van An High School, Son Tay High School), the total number of registered candidates is 11,283, the total quota is 1,895 students.
