Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 5200 on the arrangement of public service units, state-owned enterprises, and organizations within the state administrative system.
Accordingly, implementing the Central Government's policies on streamlining the apparatus, in the field of education , the City People's Committee requests the Department of Education and Training to be responsible for basing on the direction of the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18 to propose plans to arrange and adjust the organizational model of high schools (if necessary) in a convenient direction to serve the needs of people and students.
At the same time, the Department plans to merge vocational education and continuing education centers into vocational secondary schools equivalent to high schools under the Department of Education and Training to provide public services in inter-ward and communal areas.

For vocational training facilities, the arrangement plan is to have a maximum of 3 vocational schools, not including schools that are self-sufficient in regular expenses or more.
At the same time, the city also assigned the People's Committees of communes and wards to propose plans to arrange and adjust the organizational models of existing public junior high schools, primary schools, inter-level schools and kindergartens.
Departments, branches and localities are responsible for completing the development of the arrangement plan and sending it to the Department of Home Affairs before September 24 for synthesis and submission to the City People's Committee to report to the Central Steering Committee.
Hanoi is one of the localities with the largest educational scale in the country. The whole city has 2,954 kindergartens and general schools, nearly 2.3 million students and 143,000 teachers. Regarding the scale of high schools, Hanoi has 125 public schools, 3 self-financed public schools, 125 private schools, 4 international schools, 1 school with foreign elements and 29 vocational education and continuing education centers.
