Hanoi organizes 6 fireworks displays to celebrate National Day September 2

Hanoi will organize 6 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays at 5 locations at 9 p.m. on September 2 to celebrate National Day.

On August 22, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to organize fireworks displays to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 in the capital.

According to the plan, Hanoi has 5 firing points including 6 high-altitude fireworks display sites combined with low-altitude and pyrotechnics. The high-altitude fireworks display combined with low-altitude and pyrotechnics will be at 2 locations, of which location number 1 is in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper, location number 2 is in front of the Hanoi Post Office (Hoan Kiem Ward).

The city also organized high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays at 4 locations. Of which, 1 location is at Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung Ward); 1 location in front of the Water Sports Palace, National Sports Complex (Tu Liem Ward); 1 location at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho Ward); 1 location at Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong Ward).

High-altitude fireworks have a total of 3,600 fireworks, 600 fireworks per site; low-altitude fireworks have a total of 540 sets, 90 sets per site. The firing time is 15 minutes from 9:00 p.m. on September 2.

Hanoi requested the Capital Command to preside over and coordinate with the city police to closely direct patrol and guard work, maintain security and order, social safety, prevent fires and explosions, and ensure absolute safety before, during and after fireworks display at the display sites.

Hanoi City Police are assigned to develop plans and strategies to ensure social order and safety, traffic safety, especially to guide and direct traffic around the fireworks display area...

Hanoi requested the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem, Tu Liem, Tay Ho and Hai Ba Trung wards to do a good job of propaganda and agitation, organize cultural and artistic performances to serve the people at the fireworks display sites; ensure timely handling plans when situations arise.
