Two young men who evaded military service were fined more than 120 million VND

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has issued a decision to administratively sanction two local young men who did not comply with the military call-up order.


On February 21, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province announced that it had issued a decision to administratively sanction Bui Nhat Huy (27 years old) and Cao Viet Dung (26 years old), both residing in Hanh Thinh commune, Nghia Hanh district, for not complying with the military call-up order.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has administratively fined each individual 62.5 million VND. The total fine for these two people is 125 million VND.

The administrative sanctions against the two individuals were imposed by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province based on Decree 37 on a number of articles of the Decrees regulating sanctions for administrative violations in the fields of national defense, cryptography; management and protection of national borders; in the seas, islands and continental shelf of Vietnam.

The time limit for implementing remedial measures shall be implemented according to the plan for selecting and calling citizens for military service of competent authorities as prescribed.

Previously, on February 13, Huy and Dung were on the enlistment list of the Nghia Hanh District Military Command.

Both were required to be present at the 2025 military enlistment point at 20/3 Park at 6:30 a.m. However, the two individuals did not show up as scheduled.
