The group consisted of 5 students: Trung Truc, Vinh Hung (students of class 12A1), Thu Truc (students of class 12A5), Minh Dieu, Hoang Kim (students of class 11A10). After just one discussion on the evening of September 2, the whole group agreed to cook together the next morning and get started.

The idea started with Vinh Hung, when he asked his friends to contribute the 100,000 VND he had just received to buy food for people in difficult circumstances.

According to the group, if this money is used to buy gifts, it will not be enough, while in the area where the children live, there are still many elderly people and children who struggle to make a living every meal.

From the 100,000 VND contributed, the group of students prepared 50 meals and nearly 60 bottles of water. Each meal included egg noodles, bok choy, carrots, fried tofu and a special sauce made by the students themselves. All the steps from shopping, cooking, packaging to handing were done by the group themselves.

“When we brought the lunch boxes to the uncles, aunts, and children, we received warm smiles in return. At that time, we felt happier than receiving the gifts ourselves,” Hoang Kim said.

Not only stopping at the meaningful meals, the group's story also created a positive wave on social networks. The clip recording this action quickly went viral, reaching nearly 1 million likes and 7 million views.

“We are really happy to see so many people sympathizing and sharing. Our families, teachers, and friends are all proud of this small action. For us, the joy does not lie in the number of views or compliments, but in the fact that the charity message has touched the hearts of many people,” the group of students shared.

The most meaningful thing that the students learned was not only the collective experience, but also the lesson of sharing. The group of students considered this as a motivation to continue spreading small but meaningful actions.

These young people want to inspire their peers to live kindly, know how to share and together build a more compassionate community.

From a small gift on National Day, Can Tho students have known how to turn it into a humane action. It is that innocence and simplicity that has touched millions of hearts, spreading the spirit of sharing in the community.
