In mid-November 2024, SCG Group, together with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers and the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center (SAC), successfully organized the SCG Sharing the Dream Scholarship Award Ceremony, officially closing the 17th year of this program. Thereby, 200 scholarships were awarded with a total value of up to 3 billion VND. The program has contributed to nurturing a young generation who cares and acts for the sustainable development of the community and the country.

According to Mr. Praween Wirotpan, Deputy Country Director of SCG Group in Vietnam, the SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship program not only provides financial support, but also coordinates with partners to provide comprehensive training courses on sustainable practices to align with the goal of helping students become pioneering “Green Generations”. Through activities such as ESG Camps, tours of SCG’s green-certified factories and intensive ESG training series, SCG equips young people with the necessary knowledge and skills, opening up opportunities for future success.
The SCG Sharing the Dream 2024 Scholarship has attracted great interest nationwide with 700 applications. 200 scholarships were awarded to excellent students, those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with outstanding academic achievements, passion for learning and a spirit of dedication to the community. The scholarship awarding ceremonies were held at the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of government leaders, SCG representatives, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union officials, the press, teachers and especially talented students and their parents.
