GWM has officially introduced the Haval H9 Crossing Edition SUV in the Chinese market. This new version features a specialized off-road configuration. It's an upgraded version focused entirely on off-road capability, expanding the options for Haval's mid-size body-on-frame SUV lineup. The H9 Crossing Edition features a refined exterior with factory-applied grey paint, 265/65 R18 off-road tires, and a 30mm raised suspension, resulting in a ground clearance of 235mm. Its impressive off-road specifications include an approach angle of 33°, a departure angle of 26°, a breakover angle of 25°, and a wading depth of up to 800mm.
The overall dimensions are 5,070 × 1,976 × 1,960mm (Length x Width x Height), with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The familiar design features a horizontal grille, rectangular headlights, and round LED daytime running lights. The cabin continues to feature a 14.6-inch central display screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a modern, refined gear shifter. The vehicle is available in 5 or 7-seat configurations, with heated, ventilated, and massage-equipped front seats, and heated and ventilated second-row seats. Notably, the H9 Crossing Edition omits some amenities such as a 360-degree camera, interior lighting, and automatic parking assist in favor of a more practical off-road configuration. Compared to the Warrior Edition, the new version adds two off-road modes: Rock and Expert.
The car is equipped with additional roof lights and a redesigned grille. In terms of safety and driver assistance, the H9 Crossing Edition still includes Level 2 autonomous driving assistance and a front dashcam. The Haval SUV uses a 2.4L turbocharged diesel engine, producing 186 horsepower and 490Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The BorgWarner TOD's full-time 4WD system, equipped with front and rear differential locks, enhances maneuverability in challenging terrain. The dual 131-liter fuel tanks provide a maximum driving range of up to 1,400km under standard conditions.
In China, the car has a list price of 257,900 yuan (approximately 962 million VND) and a limited-time promotional price of 232,900 yuan (approximately 868 million VND). The Haval H9 Crossing Edition enters the body-on-frame SUV segment, directly competing with BYD's Fangchengbao Bao 5 and Beijing BJ60. Video : Introducing the new Haval H9 Warrior Edition 2026.
