The Mazda CX-60 was launched globally in early 2022 and is one of the first models in Mazda's premium "two-digit" product line. The vehicle is currently on display at official Mazda dealerships in Vietnam and is expected to be imported from Japan and sold in the market from April 2026.

The new Mazda CX-60, recently launched in Vietnam, utilizes Mazda's new Skyactiv extended chassis platform with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The vehicle has dimensions of 4,745 x 1,890 x 1,680 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. It is larger and wider than the Mazda CX-5.

The Mazda CX-60 features the brand's signature Kodo design language. Highlights include a 3D logo at the front, a grille with familiar patterns, and a thicker chrome trim. The lighting system integrates daytime running lights. The CX-60's taillights are quite similar to those of the new generation Mazda CX-5.

The Mazda CX-60 is equipped with 20-inch wheels, painted black for the M-Hybrid version; however, each version will have different patterns and paint colors. The Mazda CX-60's taillights feature a design somewhat similar to the new generation Mazda CX-5.

The Mazda CX-60 boasts a modern interior design, utilizing a variety of decorative materials including leather, wood, and fabric. The vehicle features a digital driver assistance display, a large central infotainment screen mounted on the dashboard, and an electronic parking brake and gear shifter.
11.jpg
Equipped with a head-up display (HUD) and a panoramic sunroof. The interior features five seats in two rows, offering comfortable seating. Driver assistance features include a 360-degree camera, automatic emergency braking in the city, adaptive cruise control (i-Adaptive Cruise Control), lane departure warning, and more.

The CX-60 engine configuration expected to arrive in Vietnam is the 2.5 PHEV. The CX-60 PHEV (Plug-in hybrid) uses a 2.5L SkyActiv-G 4-cylinder gasoline engine combined with an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
10.jpg
The 2.5L engine produces 189 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 261 Nm, while the electric motor adds 134 horsepower and 250 Nm, bringing the total gasoline and electric output to 323 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm.
13.jpg
Thanks to this, the CX-60 PHEV has become the most powerful touring car Mazda has ever produced. The Japanese automaker says the CX-60 PHEV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds before reaching a limited top speed of 200 km/h.
12.jpg
The Mazda CX-60 PHEV offers an all-electric range of up to 60 km, and the battery can be fully charged in 4 hours using a standard AC charging port. Combined fuel consumption (WLTP) is just 1.5L/100 km with 18-inch wheels and 1.6L/100 km with 20-inch wheels.

The CX-60 PHEV uses a new 8-speed automatic transmission with a multi-disc clutch and an integrated motor/generator replacing the traditional torque converter. i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive is also standard.
7.jpg
The vehicle comes with several different driving modes, including: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, Towing, and EV. The CX-60 PHEV version has a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. Mazda has also invested heavily in the CX-60's suspension system. At the front, the CX-60 uses a double wishbone suspension with a multi-link setup.

When officially launched in Vietnam, expected in April 2026, the Mazda CX-60 will be a premium 6-seater SUV choice for those who love the brand or prefer Japanese-imported vehicles. Due to its premium positioning and the 2.5L engine imported directly from Japan, the CX-60 is unlikely to be cheap, predicted to cost over 1.5 billion VND.
