Recently, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee directed the Hoang Mai District People's Committee to invest in a renovation project to ensure the project is clean, beautiful, and provides the best possible living conditions for residents after they receive their resettlement homes.
The current state of abandoned resettlement housing areas in the capital, which are about to be renovated.
The investment project to build a resettlement housing area in the Den Lu III urban area (Hoang Mai district) is one of five projects that have been delayed in implementation and commissioning, and the city recently held a meeting to address the difficulties and obstacles encountered.
Completed in 2017, the resettlement housing complex in the Den Lu III Urban Area consists of 3 apartment buildings, each over 10 stories high, located in a prime location on Tan Mai Street (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), but to this day, no one has moved in.
In addition to the buildings, the project also develops a comprehensive system of external infrastructure such as underground tanks, yards, internal roads, green spaces, as well as electricity, water supply and drainage systems, and other modern equipment to serve the project.
According to observations by Tien Phong reporters, currently, the three high-rise buildings in the Den Lu III resettlement area remain abandoned and severely dilapidated, despite being built to serve the resettlement of people whose land was confiscated.
After years of disuse, many parts of the structure have deteriorated and become damaged.
The entrance to the building's lobby is dilapidated and unsightly, overgrown with weeds, with peeling paint on many sections of the walls, and broken or even shattered glass doors.
According to Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, whether due to subjective or objective reasons, the aforementioned projects that have been delayed in implementation and commissioning show signs of waste, especially in terms of time. The Chairman of the People's Committee directed the Hoang Mai District People's Committee to invest in the renovation and repair of the resettlement housing project within the Den Lu III Urban Area, ensuring it is well-maintained, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, and to best serve the lives of residents after they receive their resettlement homes.
