Implementing a two-tiered local government model, after reorganization and consolidation, the Veterans Association of Mong Duong Ward currently has 471 members operating in 18 branches. At the end of October 2025, the Veterans Association of Mong Duong Ward successfully held its 8th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Chairman of the Mong Duong Ward Veterans Association, Pham Duc Tuan, stated: Following the leadership of the Provincial Veterans Association and the Ward Party Committee, the Mong Duong Veterans Association has effectively implemented emulation movements linked to assigned political tasks. The Association has thoroughly disseminated resolutions, plans, and directives from the central and provincial levels, ensuring that 100% of its cadres and members deeply understand the need to streamline the organizational structure and enhance the effectiveness of the political system.
Studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh , the Association continues to maintain and spread the model of "Exemplary Veterans." Members uphold the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers," maintain the tradition of "Loyalty - Unity - Exemplary Conduct - Innovation," and resolutely fight against manifestations of ideological and moral degradation, lifestyle decay, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation." Each member sets an example in words and actions, and successfully fulfills assigned tasks.
The association focuses on caring for the lives of its members. Many programs supporting the construction and repair of houses for disadvantaged members have been implemented; activities such as visiting and giving gifts to those who are sick, in distress, or celebrating birthdays are regularly maintained, with 68 members receiving support in 2025. Activities of "showing gratitude" and caring for war invalids and families of policy beneficiaries are fully carried out during holidays and festivals.

To welcome the Party Congress at all levels, the Veterans Association of the ward took the lead in constructing a more than 100-meter-long road displaying Party and national flags in residential area 1. The Association coordinated efforts to encourage young people to participate in military service, visiting and giving gifts to those enlisting. The Association also collaborated with other organizations to hold dozens of general clean-up sessions, attracting over 500 members and residents, contributing to maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
The Ward Veterans Association, in coordination with the Youth Union and schools in the area, organized the program "Educating the Younger Generation on Revolutionary Traditions in the New Situation." From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the Association has organized three traditional education sessions on the occasion of national anniversaries and important holidays, attracting 700 students and Youth Union members; 100% of young people preparing for military service have been equipped with knowledge of revolutionary traditions. The methods of delivery have been innovative, lively, and suitable for young people.
The Association actively participated in the knowledge contests launched by the Provincial Veterans Association. The Ward Veterans Association submitted nearly 100 entries, many of which were of high quality. Traditional education has become a regular task of the Association, with each member contributing to fostering a spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, and national pride in the era of integration. The Association's activities have been and continue to help the younger generation train, mature, and live with ideals.
