Quang Ninh and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering collaborate to improve the quality of human resources.

On the afternoon of December 11th, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session with Hanoi University of Civil Engineering regarding cooperation in improving the quality of human resources, scientific research, technology transfer, and professional support in the fields of construction, architecture, and transportation.

During the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee provided the delegation with an overview of the province's socio -economic development. He also emphasized that for the 2025-2030 term, one of the province's key tasks is to reorganize and restructure its development space; and to strengthen regional and intra-regional linkages in line with the two-tiered local government model.

The province is promoting green transformation, energy transition, circular economy, digital economy, urban economy, and building a digital society. Many key projects are planned for implementation during the 2026-2030 period: the Yen Vien - Ha Long Railway Project; the Hai Phong - Ha Long railway line; the Ha Long - Mong Cai Railway Project; the Hanoi - Ha Long High-Speed ​​Railway Project; the Bac Luan III Bridge and Access Road Project; transportation infrastructure and socio-economic infrastructure projects for the Van Don and Co To Special Economic Zones; and investment in several important ports, wharves, and port areas…

Based on that, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the school to cooperate in promoting training and professional development based on the province's requirements, introducing the province to technical and managerial human resources and specialized consultants in the fields of planning, infrastructure, urban development, construction, and transportation to help the province implement sustainable infrastructure, urban development, industrial, and tourism projects, especially in the field of urban railways. He also requested cooperation with the province in solving technical, environmental, transportation infrastructure, urban management, and climate change adaptation problems; waste treatment; and the use of local materials in accordance with the province's new development orientation. Furthermore, he requested research on technology transfer and testing of green construction technologies, energy-saving materials, and smart urban management systems in Quang Ninh through appropriate collaborative forms. Finally, he requested in-depth guidance on accessing and applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) in project investment management from design, appraisal, construction, and quality management.

Regarding the task of developing the railway network, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the school to support the process of sending consulting experts to assist in the detailed planning of urban railway lines; to assist in analyzing the potential for inter-regional connectivity and synchronization with national railway planning, expressways, seaports, and airports; and to train high-quality human resources for operating the urban railway system...

Leaders of the Board of Directors of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering presented a commemorative gift to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, instructed the provincial departments, agencies, and units to continue researching and proposing coordination with Hanoi University of Civil Engineering to concretize the contents of the meeting and advise on the implementation of cooperation as soon as possible.
