On the morning of October 29, National Highway 1 from the center of Da Nang to the old Quang Nam was still flooded, forcing traffic police to block the section passing through the old Hoa Phuoc commune.

In Dien Ban Dong Ward (Da Nang), many areas are heavily flooded. The turns from Tran Thu Do Street to the areas of Dien Nam Bac Ward (old) are quite deeply flooded. Authorities have blocked off and restricted people from entering heavily flooded areas.

Going deep into block 2A, muddy flood water surrounded residential areas here.

Mr. Ba Thuong (67 years old, residing in Dien Ban Dong) said that water has been pouring in and causing flooding for the past few days. People can only travel by boat or banana raft.

Some elderly and weak people have been assisted by the authorities to move to high, safe places.

"Since 2017, I have not seen such severe flooding" - Mr. Ba Thuong said.

Mr. Lai (64 years old) just went on a volunteer canoe from the flooded area, sharing: "It's been 7-8 years since we've seen such a big rain and flood."

Currently, this area has a volunteer group of people from the homeland, mobilizing many canoes to support the people.
