It is expected that on April 30, 2025, Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Theater (District 11) will be inaugurated and have its first show. This is the request of Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai during the field inspection of the project on February 17.
At the same time, the city chairman assigned the units to calculate that from the inauguration date until the end of 2025, tickets to performances can be free for some groups of people such as children and the disadvantaged. The city will allocate the investment budget for performing units during this period.
The project to build a multi-purpose circus and performance theater in Phu Tho started construction at the end of April 2023, with a total investment of nearly 1,400 billion VND.
The project has a scale of 2,000 seats and a 300-seat multi-purpose training room, with auditoriums, stages, practice rooms, circus animal training and breeding areas, restaurants, etc.
This is one of 50 key projects of the city to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
The project is also expected to be one of the typical new cultural institutional works of the city named after Uncle Ho.
