Coach of Hai Phong Trade Union team talks about the 'group of death' in the final round

According to the draw results of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, Hai Phong Trade Union team is in group C with Sacombank , Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union and Le Bao Minh. This is considered the "group of death" when it gathers all strong opponents.

Sacombank is the current runner-up and has just won the Southern region qualifying round. Meanwhile, Le Bao Minh and Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union are not easy opponents.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung - head coach of Hai Phong Trade Union team - said that in the final round, each team has its own strengths and weaknesses, but all are brave and determined, creating "hidden" competition even before the ball rolls.

"Coming here, every team is strong, so we will calculate step by step, from monitoring the performance and playing style of the teams in recent matches to have a reasonable plan," said Mr. Dung.

Coach Nguyen Manh Dung said that before entering Ho Chi Minh City to compete, the team received maximum support from the Labor Federation and businesses in Hai Phong City, from training grounds, equipment to arranging work shifts so that the players could focus on competing.

"We have been given all the conditions to focus on the tournament, so the team spirit is very good, comfortable and ready to fight for the country's colors" - this person shared.

However, the team still faces difficulties as key striker Thai Hoang - who has scored many important goals in the last two seasons - is not in the best physical condition due to injury.

However, coach Dung affirmed: "We are still aiming for the championship. Having a goal gives us the motivation to strive and the whole team is still determined to win."

The final round of the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 took place from October 31 to November 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 16 teams that had successfully passed the qualifying round.
