At a press conference on the socio -economic situation on August 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications announced that it is coordinating with relevant authorities to summon Mrs. Vietnam Phương Lê for questioning regarding her livestreaming of a parody of the national anthem.

"We will take appropriate legal action regarding the cases involving Ms. Le Thi Hau Phuong," a representative from the Department stated.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, the use of the national anthem has been guided in writing by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The national anthem is used during flag-raising ceremonies at government offices, schools, political ceremonies of the country and organizations, national festivals, and national and international sporting events.
Improper use of the national anthem may result in criminal prosecution. Article 351 of the 2015 Penal Code stipulates the crime of insulting the national flag, national emblem, and national anthem: "Whoever intentionally insults the national flag, national emblem, or national anthem shall be punished with a warning, non-custodial rehabilitation for up to three years, or imprisonment from six months to three years." This act currently lacks specific penalties in the field of administrative violations.
In a recent livestream, Mrs. Vietnam Phương Lê intentionally altered the lyrics of the national anthem. The incident is drawing strong criticism from the online community.
Born in 1979 in Tra Vinh province, Phuong Le became known for winning the title of First Runner-up at the Miss Vietnamese Businesswoman World 2016 pageant. In 2017, Phuong Le was crowned Mrs. World Peace.
Besides running a dental clinic, engaging in real estate, hotels, resorts, and office rentals, Phuong Le is also a food vlogger. She has her own YouTube channel, regularly posting videos showcasing her cooking skills with specialties from the Southwestern region of Vietnam. Regarding her personal life, Phuong Le's marriage ended in divorce in 2022, and she is currently a single mother with three daughters.
