Students of Hong Bang Secondary School - Ho Chi Minh City won the Robotacon Wro 2025 Championship

Hong Bang 4 Team of Hong Bang Secondary School, Cho Lon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City has excellently won the championship of Group B2 of the national final round of Robotacon Wro 2025, winning a ticket to attend the world tournament in Singapore in November.

On August 7, Mr. Tran Van Luyen - principal of Hong Bang Secondary School, Cho Lon Ward (old District 5), Ho Chi Minh City - said: The Hong Bang Robotacon 4 team, students of the school, excellently won the championship of group B2 (Robo Mission) of the national final round of the Robotacon Wro (STEM Robotics ROBOTACON World Robot Olympiad) 2025.

In this competition, Hong Bang 4 achieved the highest score among all the teams, with a total score of 271 points above the maximum score of 390 points.

Hong Bang 4 team consists of 3 students: Trang Hong Quan (class 8/17); Tang Thanh Hai (class 8/8); Nguyen Phuc Long (class 7/20). They compete in the Robot Mission category for middle school age.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - teacher at Hong Bang Secondary School, coach of Hong Bang 4 team - said: For this exam, students must do well in tasks such as robot analysis, track analysis, automation programming... very quickly to be able to get maximum points.

"The robot programming competition requires students to have many skills such as teamwork, problem-solving thinking and other soft skills such as arranging, organizing... effectively to compete. The students have shown perseverance, endurance, and mastery of skills in the competition. I am very happy to see them confidently compete and have good results," Mr. Quang added.

The Robotacon Wro 2025 competition attracted 411 teams, including 1,235 students from 278 primary, secondary and high schools nationwide. Contestants were divided into groups based on their age with the following contents: Global Robotics Games, Robo Mission, Future Innovators and Robot Tennis.

With that result, on August 7, Hong Bang 4 team received notification that it was selected as one of the Vietnamese teams to participate in the world finals in Singapore this coming November.

Robotics and automation trends are being widely applied in many areas of life, and STEM activities are included in the teaching content of the Ministry of Education and Training , to encourage students to link learning with real life and the community.

4 consecutive championship years

According to the school, in this competition, Hong Bang Secondary School has 6 teams of students with 6 coaches who are teachers of the school participating in the competition. In addition to the Hong Bang 4 team winning the championship, the school also has 3 other teams winning prizes: Hong Bang 1 won second prize in the Mission Robot category for ages from primary to grade 6; Hong Bang 5 won second prize in the Robot Project category; Hong Bang 6 won the encouragement prize in the Mission Robot category.

Up to now, Hong Bang Secondary School has had students win the national championship of the Robotacon Wro for 4 consecutive years, from 2022 to present.
