Taking place from April 11-14, the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2024, has affirmed its brand as a leading tourism promotion event in Vietnam.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that VITM Hanoi 2024 had the participation of tourism promotion agencies and businesses from 55 provinces and cities of Vietnam, 16 countries and territories, with 480 booths and over 700 participating units.

The fair attracted nearly 80,000 visitors for sightseeing and shopping, nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses for business meetings, with over 12,000 appointments made on the sidelines of the fair; more than 10,000 tours and promotional tourism products were offered.
According to the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, throughout the duration of the event, 23 tourism promotion events and activities were organized within the framework of the VITM Hanoi 2024 Fair.
Business-to-business meetings, business-to-tourist meetings, and activities by Vietnamese and international tourism promotion agencies have created a vibrant atmosphere and a strong momentum among tourism businesses nationwide, making a significant contribution to the recovery, acceleration, and rapid and effective development of Vietnamese tourism.
With the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development," the National Tourism Forum, held on the morning of April 12th, attracted a large number of tourism management agencies from the central to local levels, researchers, tourism experts, and leaders of tourism businesses.
The forum concretized the content and requirements of green transformation in tourism; proposed effective linkage and coordination mechanisms to mobilize resources for implementing green transformation in tourism; and realized initiatives to access and expand the market for green tourism business models through specific activities.
The event encouraged tourism businesses to innovate their activities in order to build green destinations and green products, promote training of workers with knowledge of green tourism, and contribute to enhancing the image of Vietnamese tourism as a green and circular economy sector.
In particular, the VITA AWARDS 2024 ceremony honoring outstanding businesses and individuals presented two Special Contribution Awards to recognize outstanding individuals who have supported the Vietnam Tourism Association in successfully organizing national-level events and activities, contributing to the development of Vietnamese tourism...
At the same time, this occasion also honored 170 organizations and businesses, and 112 individuals who are members of the Vietnam Tourism Association, the tourism associations of 58 provinces and cities, and the Mekong Delta Tourism Association.
According to Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, the awards ceremony has truly become a festival for the tourism business community, encouraging businesses to promote emulation, innovation, and creativity, contributing positively to the recovery and development of Vietnamese tourism.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to partner organizations; large-scale booths; and organizations with impressive booth designs and unique, attractive activities for visitors.
| According to a quick survey of 50 participating units at the Fair, revenue from tourism product sales over the 4 days reached more than 180 billion VND; 92% of businesses achieved their targets, with 5.4% exceeding expectations; 91.9% were satisfied with the activities at the Fair. In addition, 25% wanted to change their booth location for better convenience; 81% of units committed to participating in VITM Hanoi 2025. |
