In particular, Ninh Thuan is located at the intersection of 3 strategic traffic axes: North-South railway, National Highway 1, National Highway 27 to the Central Highlands and currently Ca Na General Seaport has been completed in phase 1 and put into operation, creating favorable conditions for economic and social development. Ninh Thuan converges diverse ecological and climatic regions typical of the region including sea, plains and mountains associated with potentials and advantages in many fields, along with warm and sunny weather all year round, creating many highly specific products for Ninh Thuan such as: Grapes, apples, green asparagus, garlic, aloe vera, seafood, salt, seaweed, sheep, goats, etc. Currently, in the province, there are 182 products recognized as OCOP products of 3 stars or higher, these are products with competitive advantages in the market that the province is focusing on investing and developing according to the value chain of commodity production associated with tourism activities; Promote production linkage with consumption and export orientation.

Korea is one of the few countries that have signed many bilateral and multilateral FTAs with Vietnam, such as: ASEAN - Korea Free Trade Agreement (AKFTA); Vietnam - Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA); Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), so Vietnamese goods have many opportunities to access the Korean market with preferential tax rates.

This is a golden opportunity to boost exports, bringing products of the South Central region to Korean consumers. The presence of Korean enterprises and enterprises of the South Central region at this conference is an opportunity for the parties to enhance exchanges, cooperation, connect supply and demand of goods, promote investment; at the same time, Korean enterprises have the opportunity to survey, explore potential, seek investment opportunities in the South Central region in general and Ninh Thuan province in particular, bringing practical benefits to both sides, as well as better understanding of support policies, investment incentives of the Vietnamese Government and localities, thereby creating favorable conditions for promoting exports and sustainable development.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of VKBIA, emphasized: The highlight in the trade relationship between Vietnam and Korea is that the structure of import and export goods is quite complementary, basically the trade goods of the two countries do not compete directly with each other. Vietnam imports from Korea mainly chips, machinery and equipment; computers, electronic products and components; textile and footwear raw materials, iron and steel, plastics, chemicals, means of transport, gasoline, pharmaceuticals, functional foods and cosmetics.

On the other hand, Vietnam mainly exports to Korea textiles, phones of all kinds and components, seafood, wooden furniture, machinery, equipment, other spare parts, footwear, spare parts of means of transport, fibers, textile yarns of all kinds... It can be seen that Korea and Vietnam have a very high level of intertwined interests, and share many common interests, especially in the economic and trade fields. Besides, the cooperation in trade and import-export between Vietnam and Korea still has a lot of "room" to develop together. This conference contributes to promoting cooperation and import-export between Korea and the provinces of the South Central region. VKBIA Association is ready to continue to accompany enterprises and businessmen of Vietnam and Korea to connect and support to remove difficulties and obstacles that we have encountered, in order to develop trade promotion and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea more deeply and effectively and practically.
