In her report summarizing the activities of the emulation clusters in 2023, Ms. Luong Thi Lan, Chief of the Office of the Journalists Association of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, stated that the Southeast Region and Ho Chi Minh City Cluster, located in the Southern key economic zone, is the most vibrant area for journalistic activity in the country and also has one of the largest membership numbers among all emulation clusters.

The emulation cluster of the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City has united and worked together with all levels, sectors, and local media agencies to mobilize members and journalists to strive to do a good job of information and propaganda work, reflecting many aspects of social life in the fields of economy, culture, society, security, and national defense.
Acknowledging and evaluating the achievements and exemplary individuals and groups in Party building, labor and production, and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, while boldly criticizing negative aspects and shortcomings that are of public concern, contributing to the overall achievements in economic, cultural, social, security, and defense development of the provinces, cities, and the entire cluster.
The member journalists' associations in the cluster have focused on strengthening and improving the secretariats of their branches, aiming to enhance the quality of their activities and closely coordinate with the leaders of media agencies in managing and cultivating the ethical conduct of journalist members. The activities of the branches, sub-branches, and journalist clubs have seen positive changes, innovating methods and content in a practical and specific manner, closely linked to professional activities, and effectively meeting the needs and aspirations of a large number of members.

As a result, all members strictly adhere to the policies, laws, and regulations of the Party and the State, as well as the Association's Charter; the responsibilities, obligations, and rights of members are ensured; no members have violated the Press Law, or other regulations on the ethics of Vietnamese journalists and the Code of Conduct for Social Media Use…
The conference also discussed and agreed on the general direction and tasks for the Cluster's activities in 2024. In addition, a ceremony was held to launch and sign a pledge to implement the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies"...
