The Hanoi Journalists Association awarded prizes to its members for outstanding achievements.

Reviewing the activities of the Hanoi Journalists Association in the first six months of 2024, according to journalist Kieu Thanh Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, the Association has successfully completed its assigned tasks, and some programs and activities have been implemented effectively.

Specifically, the press agencies of the Capital City have done a good job in propaganda work, especially in promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; implementing and thoroughly understanding the Resolutions of the Central Committee of the Party (13th term); the work programs of the City Party Committee (17th term); and the goals of the socio -economic development program of the Capital City in 2024.

Notably, Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU of the Hanoi City Party Committee outlines the policy for implementing the investment project to construct the Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region. This includes implementing programs, plans, and activities related to cultural development; improving the quality of human resources; building elegant and civilized Hanoi citizens; and disseminating information through various forms regarding the draft Law on the Capital City (amended)...

The Hanoi Journalists Association also organized a meaningful "back to the roots" program in Thai Nguyen , which was the opening event in a series of programs and activities of the capital's press community leading up to the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Speaking at the conference, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024), journalist To Quang Phan, Standing Committee member of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, and Editor-in-Chief of the Citizen and Education Promotion Magazine - representing journalists in the capital - expressed gratitude and remembrance to President Ho Chi Minh - the great teacher of Vietnam's revolutionary press - and to the senior journalists and veteran journalists who have made many contributions to the development of Vietnamese journalism and the press in the capital.

At the same time, journalist To Quang Phan also emphasized the creativity and innovation in professional activities and work of the Hanoi Journalists Association, making practical contributions to the overall activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

"Over the past period, the Hanoi Journalists Association has united its members and the capital's media agencies to actively disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and those of Hanoi city," journalist To Quang Phan emphasized.

Also at the conference, representatives of the Hanoi city leadership presented certificates of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi to 11 units for their achievements at the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon - Hanoi 2024. The Hanoi Journalists Association awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 18 individual journalist members for their achievements in professional activities and building the Association in 2023, and presented commemorative medals for contributions to Vietnamese journalism.
