Tuong Da Commune Farmers' Association supports house repairs for members in difficulty

BDK.VN - On the morning of May 27, 2025, the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Chau Thanh district coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association - People's Committee of Tuong Da commune and the authorities and unions of Hoa Chanh hamlet to support house repairs for member Nguyen Van Thu, 60 years old, residing at NDTQ Group No. 2, Hoa Chanh hamlet, Tuong Da commune.

The Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Chau Thanh district joined hands to support the repair of Mr. Nguyen Van Thu's house (Hoa Chanh hamlet, Tuong Da commune).

The activity is part of the program "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" by 2025 launched by the Central Government. The total cost of repairing the house for Mr. Thu's family is 25 million VND. The Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Tuong Da commune launched a Fund to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses among all members, farmers and benefactors inside and outside the locality, raising 18 million VND.

The Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Chau Thanh district supported an additional 7 million VND. The Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Chau Thanh district, the local government, departments, branches and organizations joined hands to support working days.

Deputy Head of Chau Thanh - Binh Dai Inter-District Agricultural Extension Station Trinh Hoang Duy informed about solutions for taking care of crops after drought and salinity. Attendees shared about the cultivation of coconut and green-skinned grapefruit; information about the market situation of agricultural products of enterprises in the district.

Through discussion, delegates attending the meeting and the Executive Board of the Chau Thanh District Billionaire Farmers Club agreed to change the current name to the Chau Thanh Good Farmers and Business Club, hold club meetings every 3 months, maintain the current Executive Board, and create a common fund to support local social security after abolishing the district level and merging communes in Chau Thanh District.

On this occasion, members of the Chau Thanh District Billionaire Farmers Club contributed 4 million VND to give 5 gifts (worth 300,000 VND/gift) and provided additional funding of 2.5 million VND to repair the house of member Nguyen Van Thu , 60 years old, residing in Self-managed People's Group No. 2, Hoa Chanh Hamlet, Tuong Da Commune, Chau Thanh District.
