Under the direction of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, the National Assembly listened to Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs, Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Supervisory Delegation Nguyen Thuy Anh present the Report of the National Assembly's Supervisory Delegation on the mobilization, management and use of resources for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; the implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine; and watched a video clip on the results of the supervision.

After that, the National Assembly discussed in the hall about the mobilization, management and use of resources for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; the implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine. At the discussion session, 45 delegates spoke.

Basically, the National Assembly deputies highly appreciated the National Assembly's choice of the supervision topic as practical, timely, and effective, and acknowledged and appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Supervisory Delegation and relevant agencies that closely coordinated with the Government, ministries, branches, the Fatherland Front, unions, social organizations, and local Party committees at all levels in implementing supervision, contributing to improving the quality of the National Assembly's supreme supervision.

The delegates' opinions basically agreed with the content of the Supervisory Delegation's report and the draft Resolution, and at the same time analyzed and deepened many specific contents about the situation, existing results, limitations, causes, lessons learned and upcoming solutions, both short-term and long-term.

The National Assembly assessed that the mobilization, management and use of resources for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the implementation of legal policies on health, and preventive medical facilities in the recent past have always been of interest to the Party, the State, localities, the entire political system and the whole society and have achieved very important and positive results, contributing to the good performance of the task of caring for and protecting people's health during the epidemic period, making very important contributions to the successful implementation of the dual goal of both preventing and controlling the epidemic, and recovering and developing the socio-economy, ensuring social security, national defense, security and foreign affairs of the country.

The National Assembly affirmed that the determination to join hands, unanimity, solidarity and great unity of the entire nation under the leadership of the Party is the decisive factor for our country to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic. The efforts of the Government, local authorities and the entire political system, the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control at all levels, the enthusiastic and responsible support of countries, international organizations and the international community.

Along with the voluntary compliance and mutual support and sharing among the entire population, all social organizations, including religious organizations, have made a very important contribution to the success of the pandemic and consider this a victory for all our people.

The National Assembly honors, acknowledges and respectfully thanks the great contributions in terms of intelligence, assets, material, efforts and spirit of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, forces directly performing frontline tasks of the health sector, armed forces and forces directly at the grassroots level in disease prevention and control, the widespread participation of all classes of people and social organizations, many of whom have sacrificed their health, their own interests, their families' interests, even sacrificed their blood and lives for the cause of pandemic prevention and for the health of the people.

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of legal policies, mobilization, management and use of resources for Covid-19 prevention and control, and the implementation of legal policies on grassroots health and preventive medicine still have shortcomings, limitations, obstacles and inadequacies in both the law-making and implementation stages. The National Assembly has further analyzed these shortcomings and limitations and pointed out many causes, clarified the responsibilities of the shortcomings and limitations and agreed that there should be solutions to overcome them in the coming time.

In addition, the opinions of the National Assembly deputies also basically showed high consensus with the issuance of the National Assembly's supervisory resolution, many opinions contributed deeply, comprehensively, specifically and directly to the specific contents of the resolution, assessed the current situation, causes, experiences, solutions and assigned responsibilities to agencies to organize implementation with deadlines, roadmaps, steps and specific requirements to meet immediate and long-term requirements, both building and fighting, honoring, rewarding and handling violations fairly, in accordance with the law, in accordance with the actual context both in the field of mobilizing management, using resources to prevent and fight Covid-19 and in the field of policies for grassroots health and preventive medicine laws.

At the end of the discussion session, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan explained and clarified a number of issues of concern to National Assembly deputies.
