On April 16th, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the HCMC Foodex 2025 (HCMC Foodex 2025), themed "Sustainable Green Natural Products," officially opened.
The event, organized by the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Beverage Association, will last until April 19th.
According to the organizers, HCMC FOODEX 2025 will bring together 500 booths, attracting the participation of nearly 400 units, organizations, and leading brands in the food and beverage sector from Ho Chi Minh City, other provinces and cities, and countries from South Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
In addition, more than 300 domestic and international buyers from 15 countries have confirmed their attendance and business dealings at the exhibition. Over 1,000 connections are expected to be established during the four working days.
Notably, the exhibition features participation from businesses from South Korea, Japan, China, and Malaysia, showcasing many new and promising food products, from confectionery, milk, butter, and processed foods, creating a vibrant trading space.

According to reports, on the very first day of the opening, a large number of customers and local people came to visit, explore cooperation opportunities, and sample a variety of food products and agricultural specialties.
Besides processed foods introduced to customers by companies such as Binh Tay, Bidrico, Ba Vi Dairy Joint Stock Company, Nosafood, Haday Vietnam, Sgari..., many stalls displaying and selling agricultural specialties from various localities also attracted many visitors who came to learn about and try them.
Examples include coffee and cocoa from Dong Nai; seafood from Binh Thuan and Binh Dinh; ginseng and cinnamon from Quang Nam; fruits from Dong Thap, Tien Giang , and Bac Lieu; and fermented pork sausage from Long An...
In her opening remarks, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, stated that the food and beverage sector currently accounts for 14-15% of the total industrial production value and is one of the four key industries prioritized for development in the city.
"The exhibition is a practical activity to support businesses, contributing to the overall introduction of the city's food processing industry, promoting quality products, fostering business cooperation opportunities, and attracting effective investment resources," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
The exhibition also includes other notable activities such as seminars and discussions on sustainable development in food and agricultural production; a business networking program with modern distribution systems and e-commerce platforms; and livestream sales activities.
