Meeting to give opinions on the Project to develop the night-time economy of Ninh Thuan province

On May 15, comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to give opinions on the Project on developing the night-time economy (KTBĐ) of Ninh Thuan province until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities and representatives of enterprises in the province.

Implementing the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Planning and Investment (DPI) coordinated with the Institute of Strategy and Development under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and collected comments from relevant departments and branches to develop a draft Project on developing the economic infrastructure of Ninh Thuan province until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, the main content of the project includes 3 parts: Assessment of the current situation and potential for economic infrastructure development; orientation for economic infrastructure development in the province and solutions for implementation, including activities such as providing food and beverage services, shopping; accommodation, recreation, entertainment, healthcare, passenger transport... Thereby, promoting the development of trade, services, and tourism, contributing to socio-economic development. It is expected that the total investment capital demand for works, projects and other activities to develop economic infrastructure in the province until 2030 will reach about 2,550 billion VND.

At the meeting, delegates basically agreed on the content and implementation objectives of the project; at the same time, focused on discussing and proposing to supplement some contents in the project such as: Need to extend the implementation roadmap, forecast the impact on economic and social efficiency as well as issues of space and scope of KTBĐ activities; business conditions, quality of goods, food hygiene and safety; security and order situation, environmental sanitation...

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the comments of departments, branches and enterprises. He emphasized that this is an important project, consistent with the goals and orientations for economic development approved by the Prime Minister; requested the Department of Planning and Investment and the consulting unit to continue reviewing, organizing surveys, evaluating and carefully analyzing the potentials and strengths in terms of natural conditions, culture of ethnic minority areas and specific agricultural products of the province. On that basis, research and promulgate incentive mechanisms and policies to encourage and attract investors, enterprises and individuals to participate in investment. Along with that, it is necessary to pay attention to calculating methodical planning, having a specific implementation roadmap, especially the ability to balance and mobilize investment resources for construction for each stage. At the same time, absorb comments and contributions, supplement and complete the project content to ensure feasibility for submission to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for consideration and approval.
