Cooperation in developing high-performance sports

In response to the need to improve high-performance sports training, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports and the People's Public Security Sports Training and Competition Center have launched a cooperation program to improve training quality and expand development opportunities for athletes, coaches and professional staff.

The cooperation between Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports and the People's Public Security Sports Training and Competition Center is built as a model of training-coaching- scientific research, aiming at the goal of discovering, selecting and nurturing talented athletes, while improving the professional qualifications of the team of coaches and sports officers of the People's Public Security through joint training, fostering and research programs.

The recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides is considered to establish a comprehensive approach, suitable for the requirements of developing high-performance sports in the current context.

Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed that Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports will continue to accompany and provide comprehensive support to the People's Public Security sports teams.

Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports currently directly trains an average of 40-45 athletes of the People's Public Security Sports Teams, and also receives many national and youth national teams for regular training. The combination of well-trained resources, specialized facilities and a team of experienced lecturers and experts with the tradition, discipline and unique qualities of the People's Public Security Force creates favorable conditions for building a training system in accordance with international standards.

Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Phuc - Party Committee Secretary, Principal of Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports emphasized that the cooperation program between the two units is an important step in the orientation of innovation in the school's training activities. The signing of the memorandum of understanding affirms the role of a leading training institution in the Vietnamese sports system, while opening up the possibility of deep connection between theory - practice - scientific research.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc, high-performance sports training today requires the integration of resources: a team of experienced lecturers, a constantly updated training science foundation, and modern facilities. These are factors that Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports can effectively share with the People's Public Security sports teams.

Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh emphasized that the cooperation with Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports has strategic significance, contributing to standardizing training work.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc said that the common goal is to build a synchronous training environment, thereby supporting athletes to develop their qualities and talents to the fullest, while creating conditions for coaches and sports officials to accumulate new knowledge and methods.

With an average of 40-45 People's Public Security athletes being trained at the school, along with the regular presence of national and youth teams coming to train, the school has rich practical experience to accompany the People's Public Security Sports Training and Competition Center in its long-term strategy.

Accordingly, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports will provide comprehensive support in training talented athletes, fulfilling its commitment to contribute to improving competition results as well as the position of Vietnamese sports in international arenas.

On December 2, 2025, in Bac Ninh, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in developing high-performance sports between Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports and the People's Public Security Sports Training and Competition Center took place.

Meanwhile, Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) affirmed that the cooperation with Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports has strategic significance, and is an important orientation to perfect the training system according to modern standards. Colonel Thuy Thanh highly appreciated the advantages of systematic training, scientific foundation and team of experts of the school, considering this as a condition to help the People's Public Security sports force promote the process of standardizing professional skills.

According to Colonel Thuy Thanh, People's Public Security athletes need to be exposed to scientific training methods, suitable to the characteristics of each sport and the requirements of high-level competition, while developing based on the will, discipline and fighting spirit typical of the police force.

Colonel Thuy Thanh also said that this cooperation creates opportunities for coaches, officers and athletes of the People's Public Security to update their knowledge from leading experts, access new training models and expand the environment for professional exchange. Colonel Thuy Thanh hopes that the cooperation program will help the People's Public Security sports force achieve training and coaching capacity on par with strong centers in the country, thereby effectively contributing to the overall achievements of Vietnamese sports.

The signed memorandum of understanding serves as a basis for the two units to promote their strengths, affirm their pioneering role in training and coaching high-performance sports, and contribute to promoting the standardization and modernization process of Vietnamese sports in the new period.
