Mr. Vu Manh Cuong, Director of Hai Cuong Tourism Cooperative, said: "From the very beginning of my tourism business, I have paid special attention to the element of local identity in building my tourist area. Therefore, the rooms have wooden roofs, and most of the dishes are made with ingredients produced by the local people, ensuring cleanliness and food safety."

In addition, during holidays, we pay great attention to organizing cultural and artistic exchanges with tourists through dances and songs imbued with the unique identities of the Mong and Thai people.

Promoting national identity in tourism development has created a distinct highlight attracting tourists to Tram Tau hot spring resort, especially tourists from big cities.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang Nhung - a tourist from Hanoi shared: "My first impression when coming to Tram Tau hot spring is that in the middle of the vast mountain forest there is a natural hot mineral pool, poetic and beautiful scenery, friendly people, and many strange and attractive dishes. I will come back to this place many times and introduce it to my relatives."

Xa Ho is one of the communes that attracts the largest number of tourists in Tram Tau district. In 2022 alone, Xa Ho commune attracted more than 6,700 tourists; mainly mountain climbing and community tourism. To exploit the potential strengths of the locality, in recent years, the Party Committee and government of Xa Ho commune have implemented many solutions to preserve traditional cultural identity.

Specifically, propagating the State's policy on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups; promoting the trust of prestigious people in propagating the preservation of identity, especially implementing Plan No. 18 of the People's Committee of Tram Tau district on cultural preservation associated with tourism development. The locality has established a class to preserve Mong flute.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Xa Ho commune will continue to promote propaganda work to raise people's awareness about preserving the distinctive cultural values of the Mong ethnic group. Mr. Giang A Say - Chairman of the People's Committee of Xa Ho commune said:

"The commune has promoted and mobilized people to preserve national cultural identity such as: costumes, repairing traditional houses to serve tourists, teaching traditional folk songs and dances to introduce to tourists."

In order to promote the potential strengths of tourism development, in 2022, Tram Tau district organized cultural preservation activities associated with tourism development in communes and towns in the district such as: participating in the Muong Lo Cultural - Tourism Festival, organizing the Ethnic Cultural Festival, the Mong ethnic Gau Tao Festival in Tram Tau district...

In addition, since October 2022, the district has organized a weekly Saturday evening cultural exchange program at Eo Gió pine hill park to introduce tourists to the unique songs, dances, and musical instrument performances of the ethnic groups in the district... This not only awakens pride among the Mong ethnic people but also contributes to the district's continued exploitation of its tourism development potential.

Mr. Khang A Chua - Vice Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee said that the district identified the preservation of the unique cultural values of the Mong and Thai ethnic groups in the area as a unique tourism product of the district compared to other localities and in fact, the district's cultural tourism products are very rich such as festivals, folk songs, folk dances, musical instruments...

"We have directed the professional sector and communes and towns to continue to do better in restoring festivals as well as performing cultural activities of the Mong people to preserve them in people's lives and promote those cultural values to tourists through tourism activities," said Mr. Khang A Chua.

Through various proactive activities to stimulate demand, the tourism industry in Tram Tau district has made significant progress. In 2022, the number of tourists visiting the district reached 95,000, equivalent to 118.75% of the plan; revenue reached over 57 billion VND, equivalent to 101.79% of the plan.

Developing tourism in conjunction with preserving traditional cultural values is a new direction for Tram Tau district to create a breakthrough in the development of the "non-polluting industry," continuing to be an effective path for Tram Tau to achieve many successes in poverty reduction, aiming to build a harmonious, green, distinctive, and happy highland district.
