On August 8, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Hung Yen province and functional units are coordinating to investigate and verify the case of about 30 workers of Toyoda Gosei Limited Liability Company (Tien Hai Industrial Park, Hung Yen province) showing signs of food poisoning and having to be hospitalized.

A representative of the Food Safety and Hygiene Department (Hung Yen Province Department of Health ) said that the unit had worked with the company and the food supplier; and had taken food samples for testing to determine the cause. By the morning of August 8, the health of the 27 workers had stabilized and they were discharged from the hospital.

According to initial information, from the afternoon of August 7, after having lunch for about an hour at the canteen of Toyoda Gosei Limited Company, 27 workers showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea and were taken to Tien Hai General Hospital for examination and treatment... By the morning of August 8, a number of more cases of workers of this company showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting and diarrhea and had to be hospitalized and treated at Tien Hai General Hospital.

A representative of Tien Hai General Hospital said that immediately after the incident, the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department, the People's Committee, and the Police of Ai Quoc Commune (Hung Yen Province) were present at the hospital and Toyoda Gosei Company in a timely manner, coordinating with the functional forces to record, investigate, verify, and clarify the cause of the incident.../.
