In 2025, the theme chosen is: “Access to mental health care in disasters and emergencies”. This theme emphasizes the importance of mental health care in the context of natural disasters, epidemics, conflicts, wars or other emergencies, situations that can have a profound impact on people's lives, livelihoods and especially their mental health.

English: The news

According to international statistics, nearly 1/3 of people affected by disasters may experience mental disorders, of which depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder are common. Emergencies also severely disrupt mental health care services, making it difficult for patients to access necessary support. Mental health care is not only the responsibility of the health sector but also the joint efforts of the whole community. Everyone should know how to listen, share, encourage each other, and proactively seek professional help when necessary. This is the way to protect mental health, overcome difficulties, and move towards a safer, happier, and more humane life.
