On December 13, the People's Committee of Krong Buk district organized a campaign to clear the road safety corridor of spontaneous markets and business locations that do not comply with planning and regulations in Pong Drang town.
Accordingly, the district's functional forces have cleared cases of encroachment on roadsides, sidewalks, and road safety corridors for trading and placing signs.
Before carrying out the clearance, the authorities had propagated and mobilized people to strictly comply with the State's regulations on urban order, not to encroach on roads and sidewalks for business and trading, causing loss of urban beauty and environmental pollution.

After being informed and mobilized, many small traders and businesses have proactively complied with and complied with the regulations. For those who still deliberately violated the regulations, the authorities dismantled the temporary roofs and corrugated iron roofs of the businesses and traders and confiscated them. The confiscated items were brought to the headquarters of the People's Committee of Pong Drang town to be handled according to regulations.
The campaign to clear the road safety corridors of spontaneous markets and unplanned business locations aims to reduce traffic accidents and congestion; ensure fire prevention, fire fighting, and food hygiene and safety in the area. In particular, it aims to improve the effectiveness of discipline, order, and state management in the management of road corridors.
Currently, Pong Drang town is still assigning forces to be on duty, handling cases of reoccupation of the roadside for trading and business. The clearance period is from December 13 until completion.
In addition, the People's Committee of Krong Buk district also implemented a series of solutions to move traders from spontaneous markets and unplanned business locations to the new Pong Drang market. At the same time, it established a compensation plan and support for the implementation of the Green Park Project at the old Pong Drang market.
