Phu Tan district determined to maintain the title of commune meeting New Rural standards

After the Project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, the District People's Committee proceeded to develop an Implementation Plan. From there, it will serve as a basis for the district-level departments, branches, sectors, unions, and People's Committees of Cai Doi Vam communes and towns to implement it closely to the reality of the unit, ensuring progress and set goals, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in rural and urban areas in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee on agriculture , farmers, and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045; achieving the goals of the Resolution of the 14th Phu Tan District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

To achieve the set plan, Phu Tan district has strengthened the direction of all levels and sectors from district to grassroots to focus on implementing new rural construction; ensuring smooth, synchronous, continuous and effective coordination between departments, branches, sectors, mass organizations at district level, People's Committees of Cai Doi Vam communes and towns in consulting, proposing mechanisms and solutions to organize the implementation of the Project in a practical and effective manner.

The district leaders also assigned each member of the District Steering Committee the task of closely adhering to the functions and duties assigned by the District People's Committee and the Chairman of the District People's Committee, and proactively developing plans for implementation.

"The implementation process must integrate programs and plans of sectors, units, and localities, including mobilizing other legal resources to achieve the highest efficiency. Heads of member sectors are responsible for the implementation results of the criteria for new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and new rural districts under the responsibility of departments, branches, and units," said Chairman of Phu Tan District People's Committee Tran Van Hoa.

Furthermore, Phu Tan district has set specific goals for 2025. These include the goal for 2024 to maintain and improve the quality of all 8 communes that have already achieved new rural standards; and to develop Phu Thuan commune to meet advanced new rural standards.

Specifically, during the 2024-2025 period, the goal is to achieve the status of a new rural district as stipulated in Decision No. 320/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022, and Decision No. 211/QD-TTg dated March 1, 2024, of the Prime Minister .

Accordingly, Phu Tan district has proposed key solutions for implementation such as further promoting propaganda work, raising awareness for cadres and rural residents, improving the quality of emulation movements to build new rural areas, building, promulgating and promoting the movements " Ca Mau joins hands to build new rural areas" and "Phu Tan joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period 2021 - 2025.

Review and propose to complete the legal framework and system of policies and mechanisms to support the construction of new rural areas, ensuring that they are suitable to actual conditions; request the district departments, branches, and People's Committees of Cai Doi Vam communes and towns, within their authority, to proactively research, review, and advise and propose to competent authorities to issue specific mechanisms and policies to support the implementation of the Program's contents in the direction of improving quality, going into depth and sustainability...

However, according to the head of Phu Tan district government, Tran Van Hoa, in the process of implementing the proposed plan, the locality still encountered some difficulties and problems, especially in investment capital. Therefore, the district has proposed that the People's Committee of Ca Mau province pay attention to allocating capital and supporting the district with capital to carry out construction projects, helping the district strive to build the district to meet the New Rural standards by 2025 according to the Project approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee...
