Tho Xuan district (Thanh Hoa) meets advanced new rural standards

Recognizing Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province to meet advanced new rural standards in 2023.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Tho Xuan district to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction (NTM), Tho Xuan has made many breakthroughs, mobilizing the entire political system to participate, thus achieving many remarkable achievements.

In 2011, the district only achieved 5.6 criteria/commune, by 2019, Tho Xuan was recognized by the Prime Minister as a district meeting the NTM standards. After achieving the NTM standards, Tho Xuan continued to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, so up to now the district has achieved 9/9 advanced NTM districts, of which more than 53.89% of communes were recognized as meeting the advanced NTM standards and 7.69% of communes were recognized as model NTM. Average income per capita in 2023 reached 63.8 million VND, the poverty rate decreased to 2.56%... The material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving, enhancing, the appearance of the countryside is truly renewed.
