Kaspersky strengthens presence in Vietnam with long-term investment strategy

On October 28, in Ho Chi Minh City, Kaspersky announced key investments and new strategic initiatives, strengthening its presence and expanding its market share in Vietnam.

The global cybersecurity and data protection company affirms its commitment to developing local human resources, promoting information security education and bringing international security technology closer to Vietnamese users.

Mr. Ngo Tan Vu Khanh, Country Manager of Kaspersky in Vietnam, commented: “The long-term investment strategies in Vietnam in recent times mark a new chapter in Kaspersky’s cybersecurity development journey. This not only means expansion but also helps us understand the market more deeply, invest more effectively in human resources, technology and partnerships, the fundamental factors to build a safer digital future for Vietnam.”

Kaspersky shared that the initiatives demonstrate the company's strategic vision, creating favorable conditions to expand cooperation with government agencies, businesses and research organizations. Thereby helping Kaspersky understand the specific challenges and opportunities in the field of cybersecurity in the Vietnamese market.

On this basis, Kaspersky plans to increase investment in programs to develop engineers and technical experts in the country. Key initiatives include technical training for partners, transfer of expertise from Kaspersky's global research center system, and cooperation projects that help Vietnam participate more deeply in the international network of cybersecurity experts.

Education is one of Kaspersky's top priorities in its sustainable development strategy. The company is currently working closely with domestic universities to develop practical educational programs, equipping students and young engineers with the knowledge and skills to respond to increasingly complex cyber threats. Recently, Kaspersky signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the People's Security Academy to promote research, training and professional capacity building in the field of information security.

Localization is one of the key pillars in Kaspersky's development strategy in Vietnam. The company's core products and services have now been fully localized, from the interface, technical instructions to customer support, to bring the smoothest and most intuitive experience to users.

In particular, Kaspersky has launched the Vietnamese version of the Kaspersky Security Awareness Platform (KSAP), helping businesses raise their employees' cybersecurity awareness and minimize risks from human factors - the leading cause of information security incidents. The Vietnamese version helps businesses in the financial, educational and manufacturing sectors build a strong cybersecurity culture internally.
