Copa America 2024 Results: Host eliminated, 7 teams entered the quarterfinals

The US team had to sadly stop at the group stage of Copa America 2024 right at home, while 7 other teams won the right to enter the quarterfinals.

Despite their best efforts, the US team still suffered a 0-1 defeat to Uruguay in the final round of Group C of Copa America 2024.

Mathías Olivera was the one who "sowed sorrow" for the host USA with a close-range shot to score the only goal of the match.

This result caused the US team to be eliminated from the group stage of Copa America 2024 right at home in disappointment.

After three matches, the host USA has only won 3 points. They won Bolivia in the opening match but then lost to Panama and Uruguay.

Meanwhile, this victory helped Uruguay gain a full 9 points, top group C and will face the second team in group D.

The remaining ticket to the quarterfinals of Group C belonged to Panama after this team won 3-1 against Bolivia.

José Fajardo, Eduardo Guerrero and César Yanis took turns scoring to bring an important victory to Panama.

Thus, ending the series of matches on the morning of July 2, 7 teams have won the right to enter the quarter-finals including Argentina, Canada (group A), Venezuela, Ecuador (group B), Uruguay, Panama (group C) and Colombia (group D).

The final ticket to the quarter-finals of Copa America 2024 will be determined in the final round of Group D. Brazil is holding the advantage over Costa Rica in this competition.
