End of the activity of picking up and dropping off civil servants and public employees in Ho Chi Minh City

Since November 1, Ho Chi Minh City has officially stopped the daily shuttle buses that take officials to and from Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Instead, the city has put into operation two new bus routes to meet the travel needs of officials, civil servants, public employees and the people.

On November 1, the Public Transport Management Center (HCMC Department of Construction) announced the end of public employee shuttle bus operations and the launch of two new bus routes.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, from July 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025, the unit coordinated to organize activities to pick up and drop off civil servants and public employees from Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau to the Ho Chi Minh City administrative center.

After more than 4 months of implementation, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center assessed that the program has successfully completed its goal of supporting convenient and safe travel needs for cadres, civil servants and public employees.

In order to better serve the needs of officials, civil servants, public employees and people traveling between Binh Duong, Vung Tau and the central area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City, from November 1, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction officially put into operation two new non-subsidized bus routes, specifically:

Route 171 has the route Phu Chanh Bus Station - Binh Duong Administrative Center - Ben Thanh, 46 km long. The bus operates from 5:30 am to 7:25 pm daily, with a total of 42 trips/day.

The vehicles used are vehicles with 16 seats or more. The pick-up and drop-off points use the existing infrastructure, and some additional key points are added such as Binh Duong Administrative Center (Le Loi Street), Becamex Building (230 Binh Duong Boulevard), Binh Duong General Hospital (5 Pham Ngoc Thach) and Lotte Mart supermarket (The Seasons urban area).

Ticket prices are calculated by route: Under 15 km is 15,000 VND; from 15 - 30 km is 30,000 VND; over 30 km, the whole route is 70,000 VND.

Bus route 172 has the route Vung Tau Bus Station - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Administrative Center - Ben Thanh, with a length of 97 km.

Buses operate from 4:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Vung Tau bus station and from 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. at Saigon bus station, a total of 38 trips/day.

Vehicles are vehicles with 16 seats or more. In addition to the existing stops, the route adds Gateway apartment building (Nguyen Huu Canh street), Coopmart Vung Tau supermarket (36 Nguyen Thai Hoc), Ba Ria - Vung Tau administrative center (Bach Dang street) and Coopmart Tan Thanh supermarket (National Highway 51).

Ticket prices are determined by distance: Under 30 km is 30,000 VND; from 30 - 50 km is 50,000 VND; from 50 - 80 km is 80,000 VND; over 80 km, the whole route is 110,000 VND.
