'Most beautiful beach on the planet' packed with guests, Da Nang hotels reach rare occupancy rate

Crowds of people flocked to My Khe beach in Da Nang to swim, creating a crowded scene during the April 30 holiday, with many coastal hotels fully booked.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, during the two peak days of April 30 and May 1, entertainment and tourist areas in Da Nang witnessed a huge number of visitors.

From early morning to noon, a steady stream of cars lined up from the center of Da Nang city to take the cable car to visit Ba Na Hills tourist area.

Tourist attractions such as Dragon Bridge, both sides of Han River, Linh Ung Pagoda... also attract crowds of people to visit.

According to Da Nang International Airport, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Da Nang welcomed nearly 700 flights, an increase of 16% compared to last year. Of these, 285 were international flights.

Da Nang Port also welcomed about 2,000 cruise ship tourists. The number of tourists traveling by rail reached 13,000, an increase of more than 10% over the same period last year.

My Khe Beach in Da Nang - once voted as one of the "most beautiful beaches on the planet" is the most crowded place. The hot weather combined with the beautiful sea makes people and tourists flock to the beach to swim.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Association, during the two peak days of the holiday, the number of rooms reached 70-80% occupancy. This is not an easy capacity to achieve. The hotels along the coast were almost full.
