Many international tourists also join in making banh chung to learn more about Vietnamese culture. |
At the festival, tourists and locals joined in wrapping banh chung to experience the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people right in the hotel's garden. Along with preparing ingredients and molds, the hotel sent artisans to guide young people, international tourists... so that everyone could create their own cakes. This year, the hotel wrapped 500 pairs of banh chung; most of which were given to the poor, facilities for children with unfortunate circumstances, the rest were given to tourists staying at the hotel. Many people wore ao dai to attend the banh chung festival, took souvenir photos with the banh chung they made right in the old house, creating very traditional images.
