On April 21, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia coordinated with the Mongol Art Gallery to organize the opening ceremony of the exhibition Vietnam Diary through the perspective of famous Mongolian painters.
The exhibition is part of a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia.
Attending the opening ceremony were Ambassadors, Heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Mongolia; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Mongolia; authors of a number of paintings and sculptures; painters and sculptors who graduated from painting and fine arts majors in Vietnam; many Mongolian friends and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia.
Displaying more than 70 paintings and sculptures created by Mongolian artists in Vietnam between 1958 and 1980, the exhibition offers viewers a unique and emotional perspective on Vietnam through the lens of famous Mongolian artists.
With sensitive hearts and deep emotions, through emotional and realistic strokes, Mongolian artists have portrayed the image of a resilient Vietnam, with beautiful nature, traditional culture full of identity and friendly, hard-working people.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Tuan Thanh said that the years 1958 - 1980 were an important period in Vietnam's history. The paintings and sculptures on display not only reflect the beauty of nature and people, but also preserve historical marks of the most difficult time for Vietnam to protect independence, unify the country and rebuild after the war. During that time, the Government and people of Mongolia always stood side by side, giving Vietnam valuable support both spiritually and materially.
Ambassador Nguyen Tuan Thanh expressed his belief that through this event, the Mongolian public and international friends will have a deeper insight into Vietnam - a heroic country, with a love of peace and unique cultural values.
The exhibition is also a vivid demonstration of the cultural connection between Vietnam and Mongolia, an opportunity to look back and appreciate the friendship between the two peoples. A relationship built over many generations based on understanding, respect, sharing and mutual support. Art not only reflects history but also helps the people of the two countries understand each other better, appreciate the past and look to the future.
