India is a potential market for Da Nang tourism . Statistics for the first 9 months of 2024 show that although there are no direct flights from major Indian cities to Da Nang, more than 139,000 Indian visitors have chosen Da Nang as their destination, an increase of 4.2% over the same period in 2023.

In particular, Da Nang City has also attracted 4 large weddings of Indian couples with more than 1,200 guests and 20 Indian MICE tourist groups with about 3,000 visitors.

According to the leaders of Da Nang City, the opening of a direct flight from Da Nang to Ahmedabad is of great significance in promoting the growth of Indian tourists to Da Nang as well as the Central region. Ahmedabad is a large city in India with a population of about 5.1 million people.

Since 2018, Da Nang City has focused on promoting the Indian market through many outstanding activities such as organizing programs to introduce Da Nang tourism in Mumbai, New Delhi; organizing to welcome famtrip delegations representing travel companies, events, wedding organizers from India to survey destinations, infrastructure, connect with Da Nang tourism businesses...

The city also coordinates with tourism businesses and partners to deploy many synchronous solutions to maximize the experience of Indian tourists in particular and international tourists in Da Nang, such as arranging prayer rooms at Da Nang International Airport; supporting the development and communication of the system of restaurants, culinary establishments with Halal certification, Indian cuisine, etc.

Within the framework of the flight route opening program, a famtrip delegation of 20 travel agencies and a presstrip delegation of 19 journalists from India also surveyed Da Nang tourism, conducted interviews and wrote in-depth articles to promote Da Nang tourism in major Indian newspapers.
