Urgently handle the problem of planting trees at too high a density at the Dong Nai river embankment project

(DN) - Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha has requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently handle the planting of trees at too high a density on the riverside road of the Dong Nai River Reinforcement Embankment Project from Phuoc Lu communal house to the residential area along Rach Cat River.

Previously, in early June 2025, during a field inspection of the Dong Nai River embankment reinforcement projects and the Flood Control Project in the Chua Stream, Ba Lua Stream and Cau Quan Stream areas, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha assessed: The density of green trees planted on the riverside road of the Dong Nai River Embankment Reinforcement Project from Phuoc Lu communal house to the residential area along Rach Cat River is too dense. Therefore, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is required to have a solution to avoid the risk of damaging the project as well as to expand the riverside living space for people. However, up to now, the treatment work has not been implemented.

The Dong Nai River Reinforcement Embankment Project from Phuoc Lu Communal House to the residential area along Rach Cat River has a total investment of more than 109 billion VND, and will start construction at the end of 2023. The project is being implemented with the goal of preventing riverbank erosion, urban beautification, creating a sustainable environment for the area and increasing people's enjoyment of the Dong Nai River. At the end of May 2025, this project completed construction.
